Note: 1 All applications are forwarded to the Austrian Authorities for consideration and issuance of the permit and it can take 2 to 3 months’ time to obtain the same. Visa fee is according to the duration of stay and currency rate at the time of submission.
Note: 2 All above-mentioned documents are to be submitted along with their attested German translation not older than 4 weeks. All these documents are to be submitted in originals with one set of photocopies in A4 size.
General Information
Indian nationals can obtain short stay visa for a period ranging from one to ninety days, valid for all countries of the Schengen Territory i.e. Germany, Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), Spain, France, Portugal, Austria, Italy, Greece, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway and Iceland. The Schengen Convention is a great step towards freedom of circulation of people. Foreigners bearing a valid stay permit delivered by one of the Schengen states can leave and later re-enter the Schengen Territory without having to ask for a visa again, on condition that they have a valid passport and relevant travel document and a multiple entry visa. Application for visas have to be submitted with the competent Consular authorities, which are to be determined according to the following criteria:
(a) If the applicant intends to stay in one country only, application should be submitted at the Representation of the same country.
(b) If the applicant wishes to travel to several member States application should be submitted at the Representation of the country where the main purpose of travel lies, determined by the duration of stay.
(c) If the main destination cannot be ascertained, the competent Consular office for processing the application will be one of the countries of the first port of entry into the Schengen Territory.
(d) Long term visas are still subject to the Law of the country of destination. They must be applied for at the Consular Authorities of the concerned member states.
NOTE: First-time travellers to the SCHENGEN-State should submit their application in person either to the Austrian Embassy in New Delhi or the nearest Austrian Consulate (Kolkata, Chennai, Goa and Mumbai) and submit a letter from the employer giving Employment Contract and the salary slips of the last three months.

This should include employment references, appointment and resignation letters, duty statements, salary advice and I-cards.
- Please provide any two of the mentioned documents which confirm the period of employment with each employer.
- Evidence of your educational and professional qualifications a clear description of your occupation and complete contact details for your employer are to be included on the application form.
- Please note that occupation titles such as ‘business’ and ‘service’ are not acceptable Marriage certificate (if your spouse is included in the application or applies subsequently) along with marriage photographs.
- Birth certificate of each applicant included in your application.
- Applicants who do not have a birth certificate may submit their Secondary School Certificate or Higher School Certificate issued by the relevant State Education Board.
- Dependents applying separately should provide: a copy of the primary applicant’s visa the approved nomination and sponsorship documents a letter of support from the primary applicant’s employer which clearly states that the employer is willing to extend sponsorship obligations to the dependents where the dependents are not already included in the nomination.

Visa Procedure - ARGENTINA
Business Requirement's
- Valid Passport.
- One Visa Application form Duly filled in Capital's and Signed as per Passport (Photocopy allowed).
- Two Recent Colour Passport Size Photograph's (White Background).
- Covering Letter from Indian Company Stating Applicant's Name, Designation, Purpose & Duration of Visit.
- Invitation from Argentina (in certain cases the Argentina Company has to contact the Immigration Dept. locally to forward visa approval to Embassy in New Delhi).
- Return Confirmed Air Ticket's for Stay Duration.
- Foreign Exchange Duly Endorsed / Valid International Credit Card Copy.
- A letter of recommendation from the corresponding Chamber of Commerce in India is mandatory.
- Company's registration copy or Memoradum of Articles.
- Salary Slip.
- Three years Income tax papers and Three months bank statement.
- A certificate of employment and/ or property deed in the applicant’s name is also required.
- Visa is valid for maximum one year for entry into Argentina with a 30 day’s stay allowed.
- Multiple entry visa is issued upto 3 years with 15 days stay in each entry. It is issued to frequent travellers only. Processing time is 4 to 5 working days to issue visa.
Note: Multiple entry can be issued subject to personal interview for which there is no fixed fee. Multiple visas can be valid for three years. All fee should be paid in form of Bank Draft in favour of "Embassy of the Argentine Republic, New Delhi - A/c. No. 310221161".
